Which should you buy?
What decides this is not the score, it is the display. Oakley Meta Vanguard shows nothing and answers through the speakers, while RayNeo iO shows information on the lens. Reading is far faster than listening, but you pay for it in battery, price and discretion.
Oakley Meta Vanguard wins the overall score by 0.4 points, but that score averages six criteria and you will only use some of them.
Battery is not close: RayNeo iO lasts 48 hours against 9 h for the Oakley Meta Vanguard. The reason is the camera: recording is what drains the cell.
Oakley Meta Vanguard has a camera and RayNeo iO does not. If you want to capture without reaching for your phone, the comparison ends there.
Both have manufacturer-confirmed language support.
RayNeo iO is 33 grams lighter, which you feel on your nose after eight hours.
They cost essentially the same.
Watch the warranty: RayNeo iO offers 1 year and Oakley Meta Vanguard offers 3 years.
