The best cheap AI glasses you can actually buy
"Cheap" here means something specific: from the affordable half of the catalogue, and genuinely buyable, with an official store and a warranty in Europe, the United States or the United Kingdom. No grey imports, no models sold only in China.
That filter rules out a lot, which is why this list is short. It is also why it's useful.
The cheapest with a camera and AI: Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1
247 €. It's the 2023 generation, still on sale and being cleared out, and they are the cheapest AI glasses from a brand you've heard of.
They run the same Meta AI as the 2026 models. What you give up against the Gen 2 is specific and worth knowing: half the battery — four hours against eight — and 1080p video instead of 3K. The frame is a regular Ray-Ban, bought and warranted like any other.
Our score: 6.8.
The most for your money: Meta Adventurer
309 €, and the highest score in our entire catalogue: 7.7. Above the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, which cost more.
The reason is that they don't cut where it counts: the same 12 MP camera and the same 3K video as the Gen 2, the same AI, eight hours of battery. And they add what almost nobody offers: two sizes, three-position nose pads and adjustable temples. They're the pair that fits the widest range of faces, and they take prescription lenses.
If you only read one line of this article, make it this one.
The same electronics, a different face: Meta Fury
309 €, the same as the Adventurer, with the same camera, the same AI and the same battery. What changes is the frame: square, thick-rimmed, louder.
The detail that decides it: they come in one size only. If your face isn't a medium, get the Adventurer.
Our score: 7.5.
If what you want is a screen, not a camera
This is a change of category. Viewers take no photos and have no assistant: they are a monitor you wear on your face.
RayNeo Air 4 Pro — 339 €. The way into the viewer range. A 1080p Micro-OLED panel with HDR10, 1,200 nits and Bang & Olufsen sound.
RayNeo GT — 369 €. Newer, with native Dolby Vision and 68 grams, the lightest of their family.
Their scores are lower — 5.8 and 5.9 — and it's worth understanding why before writing them off: our scoring weights AI and camera heavily, and a viewer has neither. They aren't worse; they're playing a different game.
What we leave out, and why
You'll see lists that include the Xiaomi AI Glasses or the Quark S1 because they look cheap on paper. We don't include them: they have no official store in our markets, you buy them imported, and you end up with no warranty and no support. Cheap stops being cheap the day something breaks.
Frequently asked questions
What are the cheapest AI glasses? Of the ones you can buy with a warranty in Europe, the United States or the United Kingdom, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1. They're the 2023 generation, still on sale.
Are the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 worth buying instead of the Gen 2? If price is what decides, yes: they run the same AI. You give up half the battery and 3K video.
What's the best value in AI glasses? The Meta Adventurer. They hold the highest score in our catalogue, with the same camera and the same AI as pricier models, and they're the ones that fit the widest range of faces.
Why do viewers like the Air 4 Pro score lower? Because our scoring weights AI and camera, and a viewer has neither. As a screen they're very good; they simply don't compete in what scores highest.
