Everything Meta announced at Connect 2026

Published on 2026-09-24

Meta held its annual Connect on 23 September 2026 and did not introduce one model: it introduced two new families, a new line and a headset. The largest AI glasses catalogue on the market got considerably larger overnight.

Here is what there is, split by the only thing that matters when you are about to buy: what you can buy today and what is still an announcement.

You can buy it today

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3, from 449 €

The third generation comes in three frames: Wayfarer, Aviator and Zena. Same idea as ever, no display, camera and voice, and better inside: up to 9 hours of battery against the 8 of the previous generation, plus 50 more with the charging case.

The camera is still 12 MP with a 100° field of view, but it adds 1080p at 60 fps, Ultra HDR photos and adjustable stabilisation. The microphones become a six-mic array.

Worth saying clearly, because it has been reported wrong in several places: the Gen 2 already recorded 3K video. The real jump is battery, 60 fps and HDR, not video itself.

Ray-Ban Meta Audio, from 349 €

The most interesting news for a lot of people. These are Ray-Ban Meta without a camera, in Clubmaster and Burbank, with the same voice and the same audio as the rest. Two consequences: 12 hours of battery, the best in the family, and nobody around you can think you are recording them. They are welcome where the others are not.

Meta Nova and Meta Capri, from 309 €

A new family that is neither Ray-Ban nor Oakley: it is called Meta Glasses. Nova is a classic round frame in two sizes; Capri is cat-eye. They carry the same 12 MP camera as the Ray-Ban and cost noticeably less. If what you want is the camera and the AI without paying for the name, this is the way in.

There are also LISA editions, from Blackpink, of the Adventurer and the Capri.

The biggest news is not a pair of glasses: it is Muse

Meta launched Muse, its personal agent, a few weeks ago. Until now it lived on your phone, your computer and the web. At Connect it announced that it is coming to the glasses, and that is the real change.

Meta's own words: in the coming months they are bringing Muse to their AI glasses for hands-free access, activated by saying your agent's name. You name it and you call it. And Muse can act on what you are looking at: ask about a product on a shelf, a flier on a wall or a long list of school supplies, and it takes action.

From the glasses you will be able to ask it to guide a workout, log meals, book an appointment, check flight prices or track down a part while you drive or cook. It works in the background and checks back when it is done. Muse will also get its own email address.

Why it matters: until now an agent like this was used from a phone or a computer. Glasses are the only place you carry it all day without taking anything out of your pocket. If it works as described, it is the first time these glasses have a use that justifies wearing them.

The honest caveat: Meta says "in the coming months". It is not available today, not even in the United States. We will update this page when it can actually be used.

What is coming by software to the glasses that already exist

A good part of what was announced is not new hardware but features coming to the glasses already out there:

  • Hearing enhancement: FDA-cleared software for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss, set up at home with no clinic and no prescription. Launching in the United States this year, as a paid add-on or included with the Meta One subscription.
  • Dolby Atmos capture: Meta says these are the first consumer device to record video in 360° spatial sound.
  • Landmark navigation: directions like "turn left at the supermarket" instead of street names.
  • Private Processing on the glasses, guided workouts, nutrition tracking, shopping by voice with prices and reviews, audio balance between ears and customisable controls.

And one piece of context: Meta says that by the end of the year it will have more than 100 styles of AI glasses across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses.

You cannot buy it yet

Meta VR Glasses: spring 2027

These are not AI glasses, they are a virtual reality headset weighing 100 grams in magnesium alloy, with the compute module separate and small enough for a pocket. More than 75 games from day one, played with your hands and no controllers.

Meta announces them for spring 2027 and has not published a price in Europe. Prescription lenses are sold separately.

Muse Charm: "later in 2026"

The AI pendant everybody talked about. Meta announced it with no price, no firm date and no product page. When there is something verifiable it will get its own review here; until then, it is an announcement.

Meta Ray-Ban Display: depends where you are

This needs care, because it has been reported as one single thing. Meta says they go on sale today in Canada and the United Kingdom, and that pre-orders open in France, Italy and Germany ahead of availability on 13 October. Spain is not on that list, and the Spanish store still shows them as unavailable: you can only book an appointment to try them. We checked ourselves.

What I would buy

If you already own a Gen 2, moving to the Gen 3 is not urgent: one more hour of battery and better video, for more money. If you are starting from scratch and want a camera, the Nova does the same for considerably less. And if the camera is irrelevant to you, or wearing one on your face makes you uncomfortable, the Audio makes the most sense in the whole range.

Every new model is already in our catalogue with its score, its verified price and its comparisons.
